I was born and grew up in Lysekil, and studied Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology for five years. I graduated in 2017 and have been at Inhouse Tech ever since.
I’m a structural engineer, and I spend my days dimensioning bridges and other civil structures. For example, I’ve spent a lot of time on the area around Nya Forsåker in Mölndal. Alongside my official job as a structural engineer, I also like getting involved in the company and am part of our Future group, where we work with questions related to company development and the future of our business.
It may sound like a cliché, but I’m driven by learning new things, developing and making progress. I dislike feeling that I’m standing still. When I hand over a job it’s always nice to feel that I’ve learnt something new, that what I did this time around is at least a bit better than last time.
And of course, there are some days when you need a brilliant Spotify playlist to keep it up!
Gosh, there are so many! I think what makes me particularly proud to work here is that as co-workers – whether it’s in the day-to-day, at specific workshops or on courses, or even if we’re having fun outside of office hours – we always put a hundred per cent into what we do. It makes it incredibly enjoyable and rewarding to go to work when people give their all, not only for their own sake but because it helps everyone.
I always try to visit a church whenever I’m in a new place. Not because I’m religious, but because they’re usually such beautiful buildings. I can walk around for ages studying the architecture, the structures and the details in the ornamentation.
