Södra Änggården Block 1 – An innovative urban development project

Inhouse Tech are proud to be part of the development of Södra Änggården, an exciting new district in Gothenburg where urban life meets nature. In this project, we are responsible for the project and construction management. Leading with the effort to create a dynamic and sustainable neighborhood that seamlessly integrates residential spaces, hotels, commercial premises, and essential services.

Block 1 in Södra Änggården is the first residential block to be constructed in the area, playing a key role in the district’s development. The project consists of four architecturally modern buildings which include:

  • 128 apartments

  • 26 long-stay hotel rooms

  • Commercial spaces

  • A parking garage

Inhouse Tech is carrying out the project in collaboration with Månsson Fastigheter as the developer, alongside architects Semrén & Månsson Arkitekter and the contractor Devoco. The ambition is to deliver high quality and to create a vibrant neighborhood where people feel at home.

Månsson Fastigheter places a strong emphasis on architectural excellence and believes that rental apartments should maintain high standards in both design and material selection. As a result, this project features carefully considered solutions and sustainable materials that provide long-term value for residents.

Focus on sustainability

The project is being certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver 3.2, ensuring that we meet high standards for energy efficiency and sustainability. Through meticulous planning, an environmentally friendly construction process and a long-term sustainable urban district are ensured.

A valuable learning experience

To maintain consistently high architectural quality, architects have played a central role throughout the process, ensuring that the project’s vision remains intact from start to finish. The building permit process proved to be a challenging phase, with a timeframe that can be difficult to fully grasp. Navigating this complex approval process has provided us, as project managers, with valuable insights that we will carry forward into future developments.

 Future outlook and completion

Construction is ongoing and is expected to be completed by spring 2026. We look forward to following the progress of Södra Änggården and contributing to the creation of a vibrant and attractive district for future generations.
