Lindex, originally founded in Alingsås, is moving back home. The company has relocated its two warehouses from Partille and Borås into a newly built omni-channel distribution centre, a highly automated facility covering 40,000 square meters.
Lindex’s new omni-channel warehouse will manage inventory supply for the fashion company’s entire store network as well as its rapidly growing e-commerce operations, both nationally and internationally. This highly automated and environmentally smart facility spans approximately 40,000 square meters and is being constructed on a site in the new business park in Bälinge.
Construction began in 2022, with Inhouse Tech appointed as construction manager. Commissioning of the facility is set to begin in the fall of 2024.
As part of this project, Inhouse Tech has also been awarded an additional assignment within the property—a tenant adaptation covering approximately 12,000 square meters. This includes building two floors of office space, along with a cafeteria, locker rooms, and new parking facilities for the personnel. With the tenant already moved in, the team is focused on completing these adaptations as soon as possible to accommodate the ongoing operations.
For this project, Inhouse Tech serves as both project manager and construction manager.
